Hi saw this thread and tried to do the reset, it worked but when I go to run the washer regularly the blinking starts again. I am not a technical person, is there something else I can do to try to get this working???

There are three parts in the heating circuit. They are: the heater, the hi-limit thermostat (under the dishwasher) and the control board.
Check the heater and the hi-limit thermostat for continuity. If any of them is open, it has to be replaced. If there is nothing wrong, replace the control board. - The heater Part number: W10134009 - The hi-limit thermostat Part number: 661566 - The control board Part number: W10285178 Here are the breakdown diagrams and Parts for Whirlpool GU2800XTVS0 Dishwasher - AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.

I have a DU1055XTPS3 (Whirlpool Quiet Partner 1) from 2004 or 2005 and the Clean Light blinks 7x. I tried the "Normal - Heat Dry" sequence 4x and that seemed to reset the dishwasher to no lights blinking. I then ran a normal cycle and it seemed to run alright. After it ran on Normal Cycle, the clean light started blinking 7x again.
As a side note, I replaced the fill sensor about 2 years ago and that seems to be functioning alright as I listened and timed the fill to exactly 100 seconds. I checked the water level and it was just barely under the filament, not submerged. Do I need to level the dishwasher better? Do I need to check the hi limit thermostat or heater element? If so, how do I go about checking for continuity on those parts... from one end of the filament to the other? Please advise next steps. Thanks! |

Hi,
Yes, you do need to check the heating element and the hi-limit thermostat for continuity. You have to remove the wires from the tested part terminals prior to the test. The part numbers for the heater and the hi-limit thermostat are the same as posted in the previous post. - The control board Part number: 8564547 Here are the breakdown diagrams and Parts for Whirlpool DU1055XTPS3 Dishwasher - AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.
