Default Kitchenaid Heating Element new control board problem
Model Number: KUDS01ILWH2   Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: 1 - 5 years

My Kitchenaid dishwasher KUDS01ILWH2 had the famous failed heating element issue. I bought the kit with the new element and circuit board. Installation was no problem. However the replacement circuit board is not the same as the original in that it lacks connections for 2 wires. Looking down at the door, these are the 2 white wires at the top. The new board just has a blank spot there, although the plastic frame has a notch for it. I put in the new board and the dishwasher would not turn on. I stuck the old one back in and it will turn on. Thus the 2 wires are important. Looking at the circuit diagram I think they have something to do with the door switch. I called Parts Select and they confirmed I had the correct kit for my machine. I was provided the number for Whirlpool ( who also makes Kitchenaid) but they are of no help. I checked various places and all the control boards lack the connections for the 2 wires. Can anyone help out? Can I just connect the wires together? Are they a door opening safety switch?
