Model Number: mdb5600awb Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
My Maytag Quiet Series 100 dishwasher runs, pumps in water, heats, cycles through and then drains, but the water never goes through the spray arms. The arms are clear, the motor works, the filters are clean. When I take apart the insides down to the "seal kit" to the motor, the motor will spin by hand, but the seal kit doesn't seem to attach to the motor shaft. I can't tell if a piece is missing (somehow got broken and disappeared). It sits over it, but it doesn't seem to "grab" it. Would a new seal kit give me the part that could have broken? When I look at the suggested seal kit (AP4365097 for model #MDB5600AWB), I can't tell what the two parts are on the right, the ring and the largest plastic piece. These don't seem to be a part of mine? So, is that what I need or how is the chopper and wash impeller supposed to connect to the motor so that it spins? Thanks if you can help?
