Default Dishwasher
Model Number: GU1200XTLS2   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years

The heating element broke into and I want to replace it. The parts manual shows nuts on the end of the element. Are these under the dishwasher or can they be disconnected from inside the dishwasher

Leland,

These nuts are located under the dishwasher and you probably have to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet to access them.

- The part number for the heater (including two rubber washers) is AP4325066

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dishwasher Model GU1200XTLS2

Gene.

Thanks Gene for your help. I decided to call a repairman before I broke something else.
