Latch stuck
Model Number: MDB1950AWS Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
New to forum, please help with any and all ideas. The door will latch with no problem, it's just trying to open that is hard. It appears the latch is stuck or hanging up. How do I check to see if it needs just a new latch or a complete latch assembly? Thanks, Bob

The model number you posted does not come up. Verify and repost it, please. Gene.

Gene: I took the model number directly off the dishwasher, not from the User's Manual. The number is MDB9150AWS. I purchased it in 2001 for the wife; it's stainless steel, inside and out. Hope this helps! Bob
