Hello, I will be replacing the soap dispenser on my dishwasher and have a question. The new dispenser, AP3176640, is what I ordered and is a newer/different part than the original. (New Re-designed dispenser. Rinse Aid sensor no longer needs to attach to dispenser). Do I need to do anything special when replacing the dispensor with the sensor connection that I don't hook up anymore? Does the sensor need to be replaced with the dispenser? or is the sensor not used anymore and the new dispensor is just a plug/play part and that's all?

Looks like you may have ordered the wrong part, re: just the sensor not the dispenser
Part number: AP3176640
Part number: AP3176640

The dispenser is
Part number: AP3774956
Part number: AP3774956

The rinse level detection is gone guess it was causing more problems than it was worth.
Just tape up the connector that went to the level sensor and tuck/tape it out of the way.

Thanks for the quick reply. The problem i'm having is if I fill the soap up and close the door, the soap will start falling out by itself if i don't start it up right away. Also, the rinse agent is also running out a lot faster than normal. I figured the rubber seals where wearing out and I ordered the soap dispenser. Do I need a new rinse aid sensor as well? i was thinking not since it's not suppose to be connected the the Newer dispenser.

That is correct but the number you said you ordered in your first post is for the sensor not the dispenser.
