bosch dishwasher

Model Number: shu6806 Brand: Bosch Age: 5 - 10 years

timer counts down erratically and runs too long. i have purchased a new timer/ control module. any special instruction for installation would be appreciated. i would imagine that i would have to remove the inside cover with the torques...unplug old and install new. just want to be aware of any hidden pitfalls..would appreciate any instructions or any info...thanks
