I have a GE portable potscrubber dishwasher that I bought recently used. The motor was leaking so I ordered a new motor and pump assembly from this website. However, as I was finished installing the new motor and ran it for a test the pump solenoid burnt up. I replaced it with the solenoid off the old motor and it works but it still will not deactivate and I don't want to spend anymore money on this piece. Is there anything I can do to keep the solenoid from burning up. It is going through all the cycles just fine. Are there any wiring issues that I can look for? Please help me not spend any more money.

Most the time when this happens, your timer is at fault. Looks like you may need a new timer to fix the problem.
