Default My Bosch dishwasher is stuck!
Model Number: shu5315uc/06   Brand: Bosch   Age: 5 - 10 years   

My bosch dishwasher gets stuck at the 1 minute mark of the cycle. Ijust keeps going and going. Can someone tell me which part I need to fix this problem? I am very handy but I am just getting into appliance repair. Thanks, Kevin

Kevin...The problem is a burnt heater circuit on the control board. If you're handy with soldering, you can solder the circuit. Otherwise, just replace the board.

Thank you George, I appreciate your help. I do have a solddering iron, but where would I get another circuit?

Kevin;
If you take the console off the machine, you'll see the control box on the right. It's usually a white plastic case. Disconnect the wiring, unhook the wires to the start switch and the green ground wire. You can lay the console on a padded surface, then gently release the black tabs holding the metal frame to the console to have access to the control module. Release the module from the metal frame, then you can snap open the case around the control board. If you lift out the board, you can turn it over and you'll see a blackened spot where the heater circuit bunrt out. Some guys have been successful just re-soldering that circuit on the board. It's worth a try. If , after doing that and you've reinstalled everything, the time still remains at 1 minute, you'll have to invest in a new control. Just enter the machine's model number on this site's search engine to get the right one. Good luck!
