We have not used our DW for more than a year. (it ran fine before it was disconnected) I hooked it back up and it just humms with no water flowing into it. I am getting water to the inlet valve. I'm thinking it is the inlet valve. Is there anything else it could be? The valve is $25 so I ordered it.

One way to be sure is to measure across the water valve, if it is getting 120 volts and not opening then it is toast.

Also add a quart or so of water to the unit, it is not a good idea to run any pump when it is totally dry.
