Default 18" Whirlpool Dishwasher sleeve and seal replacement
Model Number: DU018DWJX0   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years

I have 2 problems with replacing the sleeve and seal assembly for my dishwasher:

1. The replcement parts sleeve is round (with no receiver hole) and the original part is square with a threaded receiver hole. I think the part is the wrong part.

2. I cannot tell how to remove the original sleeve and seal from the motor shaft.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe,

The part number for the sleeve & seal assembly comes up in accordance with the model number of the dishwasher.

Whirlpool changed the old part number 8193607 (with square shape and threaded hole) to the new part number 8193841 (with round shape and without hole). I found no any instructions how to use this new part and I never replaced it myself. Try to get an information from Whirlpool.

Gene.
