could you tell me why the soap lid does not open auto. when washing dishes , i have to do it manualy

Maytag dishwasher Model# DWU8750AAX; Soap dispenser won't open. Replaced 2 wax motors(902899) one releases the soap dipenser, the other releases the rinse-aid dispenser. Turned on the dishwasher, dispenser still won't open.
Can you tell me what else could possibly be wrong?
