Default dishwasher runs forever
Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: 1 - 5 years

Here's a different one for you. The dishwasher runs, it heats the water, it gets the dishes clean, it goes thru all the cycles. It just takes three to four hours to do it. It fills with water quickly, but runs the rinse cycle for hours, eventually it will turn it's self off. I'm pretty sure it's the controller, any suggestions on what I could do to check it? Thanks.

Gene has much to be proud of
Default

The first thing I would do is measure the incoming water temperature in the dishwasher. If it's much less than 120°F than the cycle time increase dramatically due to water heating by the dishwasher.

If you need further assistance we need the complete model number of the dishwasher.

Gene.
