My 2 year old Whirlpool dishwasher starter making a lot of noise. The noise is coming for the motor. The noise is like a loud hum/ grind. Basically sounds like the usual motor just 5x louder. I took the covers off and I spin the motor by hand and it does not make any noise. Seems to spin like it should.
This noise lasts throughout the wash and drain. The noise was gone towards the end of the drain while the dishwasher was still draining.
Any ideas?

Well, ended up taking everything apart and it turned out that it was a plastic piece that broke off one of the baskets and got lodged in the water pump. This made the motor work harder and created noise from under the machine.
The broken piece was actually found where the grinder is under the pump.
