dishwasher doesnt drain

Model Number: gsd2000g00ww Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years

water stays in bottom.machine smells like an electric wire burning.no airgap.maybe pump burnt out?? is there a drain screen on pump? thanks for any help!!!
