Model Number: GU2400XTP6 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
On occasion the timer readout will stop during the wash cycle. The washing continues but the countdown is frozen, never at the same point in the countdown. I have to cancel the cycle and do a quick rinse to complete the wash. The electronic control is still under warranty but I have to pay for a service call to verify the problem which is questionably possible at all since it is intermittent.

Most likely the problem is a bad control board, but due to intermittence, it's pretty hard to diagnose and if an authorized tech would not see it - there is not much what could be done.
