Model Number: FDB635RBS1 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
Hello,
We bought a used Frigidaire dishwasher to replace a Maytag. They told me it was 5 yrs old but based on its use of a knob type timer I think its older. Its not that bad a problem except the extra energy use. There are three on/off buttons on the left to turn on or off heated wash, rinse and dry. The LED's showing on or off are very dim compared to 3 other LEDs on right for heating delay/clean which work fine. While watching the current draw and wattage while the machine is running, the electric element is on periodically (not all the time such as not while filling/draining) even with the switches switched off. Everything else seems to work and dishes are cleaned fine so this is not as bad a problem as most. Wondering if someone can suggest something other than my mounting a on/off 15A double pole toggle switch to the element to keep it off when I don't want it to run.
