I've been able to keep my dishwasher in working order over the years however now I'm dealing with smell. I've cleaned out what I can get to inside the tub, the air outlet, and the garbage disposal line (on the disposal side). I've been trying to clean as much as I can before resorting to pulling the machine and disconnecting pipes because whoever configured my sink, disposal, and dishwasher connections was either an idiot or somebody didn't plan ahead.
I'm now trying to get to the air inlet at the bottom of the door to get the gunk out however I'm having a lot of trouble getting the door panel off. In all the videos I've seen, it practically falls off once you get the screws off but mine seems to have something that no dishwasher did in the videos. I believe it's called a pan-in according to the diagram here https://www.appliancepartspros.com/w...ap3178608.html
. It is a hard styrofoam-type insulation. The problem is that it's been glued in place on both sides so the front part of the door won't detach. Any tips on how to free it? It's impossible to get to any of the parts in the door (other than the control panel) which makes it impossible to clean or replace parts as needed (such as the dispenser).
Thanks for your help
