My dryer continues to run. The buzzer does not go off, and the dryer will run until I open the door (for hours if I let it). Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanx:rolleyes:

if it won't shut off on auto dry, try timed dry. if it still won't shut off, it's most likely the timer...

I replaced the short travel button assembly where you set the heat range and fabric types to cure the same problem on our GE profile dryer. Opening the door was the only way to stop the dryer before I replaced the button assy.
