GE Monogram Start / Reset Button Not Working
This unit has a touchpad on the very top and can be accessed when opening the door. All of the touchpad keys / buttons work except the Start/Reset button. That is an issue. Powered off and back on for the unit, no change. Held Start/Reset button for 2 minutes, no change.
About ready to give up and possibly open up the unit and look when I used my hand to bang the inside of the door near the Start/Reset button and then the button started working. The unit is running now, but this certainly can be a "fix" so I'm asking for a professional opinion of what might be going on and a fix suggestion.
Also, I noticed that the green light that indicates that the cycle is over (it's located on the outside of the door--visible when the door is closed) hasn't worked for a while. Maybe this is related? I'll look to see if the light shows up after this cycle is complete. Thanks for your help!
