Dishwasher is about 12 years old and recently it started making a vibration/howling/moaning noise during the wash cycle. The noise happens during the whole cycle. Also, a couple times over the past month there has been water in the bottom at the end of the entire cleaning cycle but if I do a manual drain cycle it drains out. Other than these issues it seems to work fine.
I've done a little research and it sounds like the recirculation pump is likely the problem. I see there is an impeller rebuild kit so I'm wondering if I should try this first or just replace the whole pump? Any other parts I should replace as long as I have it apart? Is it even worth fixing or should I buy a new dishwasher? Thank you for the help!
