This seems to be a common problem, but reading through multiple folks posting about it, I'm not entirely sure what the real underlying problem is.
We have a 4 year old Whirlpool dishwasher. It blew it's first thermal fuse at about 2 years. Replaced. (Yes, including the wires with the kit.) The next one happened at about 3 years. (Yes, replaced the whole kit.) The next at about 3.5 years. (Yes, whole kit.) I replaced it again about a week ago. And it's blown again.
Clearly I am not addressing an underlying problem. Looking at the wires leading to the control board, in spots, they've melted the insulating black plastic coating the stainless back of the door.
What should I look at next?
