Start button does not respond when depressed, but will light during diagnostics. I am leaning towards a control panel issue but do not have the ribbon cable pinout to confirm. All tips and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

We have the same issue with our Maytag dishwasher. Model number WPW10404412. The dishwasher is fine when it runs-through its diagnostics via the control panel sequence. However, when trying to have it actually wash dishes, I can select options (and they will light-up when selected) but it will _not_ start and the "Start" button does not light-up when selected. (Start button _does_ light-up via the diagnostics.)
