My GE dishwasher, just over a year old, is not cleaning dishes. Soap is left in the dispenser, sometimes the dispenser does not open. I have take the filters out and cleaned them...removed some small debris...that did not help. Next, I removed the lower spray arm and the conduit adapter assembly exposing the diverter. I then attempted to run the dishwasher, changing the settings for upper wash, lower wash and both. I noted that the diverter did not adjust...one hole remains open all of the time. So I think I have a malfunctioning diverter. However, even when set to "lower" or "both" I am not getting clean dishes. The soap remains. Could I also have a malfunctioning pump? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Frank
