During the beginning of the "normal wash" cycle the washer fills with water normally, after filling the washer completes the first rinse normally and drains the water.

Once the washer enters the "light wash" cycle the washer again fills with water and completes the final rinse cycle and drains normally.

Once the true wash cycle begins, the washer fills with water normally but when the washing should begin, the arms do not rotate or spray water. The washer does continue to hum though. When I open the door water dribbles out of the top arm and the bottom of the washer is full of suds. The bottom arm does not seem to rotate or spray any water. Also, this seems to coincide with the little door to the dry dish washing detergent being opening. I tried to close the door to make the washer think it was in "rinse" mode but the lever that keeps the detergent door closed is locked in the open position.

Once the wash cycle is complete the washer drains normally, pauses, and fills with water for the rinse cycle. The rinse cycle is completed normally, just with lots of suds left over from the wash cycle.

In case it helps the "Temp Boost", "Extended Wash", and "Heated Dry" are in the off position.

What might be the problem and is there a temporary fix until I can properly repair the washer?
