Hi,
My Frigidaire dishwasher is about 8 years old. When I start it, it drains, then fills slightly with water at the bottom of the unit. When it goes into the wash cycle, I get no water.
I checked continuity on my water inlet valve, but turns out my cheap multimeter was on the fritz (which I didn't realize at the time). Anyway, I order a new inlet valve and installed in. That didn't fix the problem. Used a new multimeter to test the inlet valve for resistance and continuity. Wasn't getting a beep for continuity on either the new or the old inlet valve but when I bumped the ohms up to 20k, it was showing a resistance of around 1111. I wasn't sure if this was right, so I took the part in to a parts distributor and they tested it against a new inlet valve, which gave a similar reading.
When I tested the float switch it shows continuity and when I depress the button during the initial fill phase after the drain, it stops the fill cycle off.
I called Frigidaire and spoke to their customer service and explained the situation, but they weren't able to offer me any advice other than to call a repair man.
Do any of you guys have any advice for me as to what it could be?
