Looking for some help as I feel completely confused by this problem.

Our Maytag MDB7749AWM1 dishwasher was running when the power went out in our neighborhood and ever since then it will not start. When you try to start the machine, the Start/Resume light flashes and if you hit Cancel it does the same thing. The water was still in the bottom of the machine when we opened up the dishwasher, the power trip happened mid-cycle.

I removed the bottom panel and have the repair manual. The door switch still feels like it's good, when you close the door it feels like it's closing and when you put the lock on the door it does indeed still lock so I don't feel like it's the door switch.

My next guess is it's either the Control Panel or the Control Board. Both parts are roughly $125 each so I don't want to buy them both unless I have to. We are on an extremely limited budget in our household so I don't want to buy them both if it's just one or the other.

I tried resetting the breaker, leaving the breaker off for 15 mins, neither did anything to fix the problem. I tried putting it in diagnostic mode but the lights stay solid and the diagnostic cycle never starts.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated and thank you for anyone's advice on how to fix this problem!
