I've got a Kitchenaid KUDE60 dishwasher with no lights on the touchpad control panel. Suspect thermal fuse or perhaps door switch. I can't figure out how to remove the control panel. Touchpad is on the top edge of door. Have removed the screws on the inside door and front panel comes loose at bottom and sides, but top part where the touchpad seems to remain attached in middle part of door. Have removed all screws (door panel and control panel), apparently to no avail. Any ideas. Model number on inside of DW is KUDE60OHXSS1. I've verified 120VAC to machine via connection at bottom front of DW.

Trick to getting front panel + control panel at top was to remove two nuts on handle release that looked like posts and not nuts... the two posts that extend when handle is pulled out which activate release mechanism. Have power to machine and thermal fuse show continuity (0.4 ohms). Door switch working also. I guess that leave either the control panel or the control board. Probably the board?

Pulling wiring harness connectors and reseating them fixed the issue (at least for now). Key to removing outer skin panel to allow access to control board assembly was removing all screws on interior or door (3 down each side + 4 at top securing touch pad), removing two nuts that looked like posts that work the door latch, and removing one screw on the door handle.
