After a well-fought battle with my dishwasher (which I am losing) I am hoping someone here can help.

Previously, the dishwasher wouldn't start. After some research I was able to determine that the dishwasher didn't think the door was shut, even though it was (figured out how to get the diagnostic lights to indicate the issue). I replaced the door latch with a "new" one (although the label was really worn, so I can't be sure it was new).

This fixed the issue for a while, but I am now having the same issue. The same code is coming up when I run the diagnostics (door not closed). What's odd is that I am able to get it to work occasionally, with no rhyme or reason on what is happening when it works vs. when it doesn't. I even put the old door latch back in (the previously-removed "broken" one) and the dishwasher works sporadically with that one as well. So either both the old one and the new one are bad, or its some other issue.

Is there any other part, besides the door latch, that could be contributing to this problem and the fact that it works sometimes and not others?
