Does anyone know what might make the washing/sloshing water sound of a dishwasher get louder than it used to be?

It might seem like a nitpick, but it is driving me nuts.

When I first got this dishwasher about 6 months ago the only time you could really tell it was on was during a drain cycle. I used to boast I could sit on the floor, lean against it, and make a phone call and you'd never know it was running. Now I wouldn't want to sit anywhere near it and talk on the phone while it is running. It isn't the sound of gears or anything like that, its like the water sound itself has gotten much louder.

The sounds sound... 'normal'. Just much louder than they used to be. It sounds like water spraying around inside a dishwasher which used to be hardly audible. There's no funky grinding or anything like that. I've tried it fully loaded and completely empty and the volume is the same.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
