Hi All,

My dishwasher was emitting a burning smell (electrical insulation like) for the last month or more - but it kept on washing. Today, in the middle of a wash cycle all lights on the panel went out and the machine stopped (no circuit breaker had tripped either), and I had to syphon the wash cycle water out. Has the unit got an internal fuse? I'm in the process of opening the bottom panel up, disconnecting the hard wired power (breaker off) and will be looking for burn traces or marks. Any clue what could have burned out?
No leaks on the machine or any other problems - any tip would be much appreciated. :)

Today I got to the bottom of it - found the problem and solved it. It was created by a "wannebee electrician " who hooked the dishwasher up. He used compression insulation connectors on one strande and one solid wire. No brainer that you never had a proper connection, he should have used good old marettes! The neutral and hot was burned to a crisp.
After placing a proper connector on the leads the machine was just doing fine - case closed. :) :) :)
