Our GE Triton dishwasher wan't drain all the water out when the cycle is complete. There is still about 1-1 1/2 gallons in the bottom. On the rinse only cycle there was even more remaining than the regular wash cycle. Any ideas?

Here are your parts.
Parts for GE GSD6200J00BB Dishwasher - AppliancePartsPros.com

If yu click on a parts picture or description a new page will open with more info. Sometimes there is a helpful Q&A section.

I am assuming this unit used to drain OK at this location with the current plumbing setup.

Start by checking the filters in the unit.
Next would be the drain line. A common place for them to plug is at the connection to the house plumbing.
Next would be the pump itself and the flapper/check valve.

Thank you for your reply. We cleaned out the screen below the main water arm. There wasn't much there but seemed to solve the problem. We were able successfully run a rinse cycle and it drained completely.

Now it won't complete a wash cycle, it fills, then stops, although the lights on the board stay on. It will be off for 10-15 minutes and come back on and runs a rinse cycle only, shuts off again and continues to do this. The detergent door never opens.

Figured it out. The backflow prevention valve on the drain pump was on backwards. We switched it and now it runs a full cycle fine. Is there a sensor that prevented it from running the full cycle? Thanks for your help.

My guess would be that it was the turbidity sensor (item 321 in section 05).
I do not have a timing chart for this unit but on many units if it thinks the water is too dirty it will do a drain and refill. It will do this a number of times and may end up just giving up.
Note that the above is just a guess.
