I've had this kitchenaid for a while and it's been great. The problem that we are having is that often, when we want to run the dishwasher, we'll select a cycle (usually normal) and the lights will come on. We then may try to select the 4 hour delay option or may just hit start. Neither button will light and the dishwasher will not start/run. If I turn the power to the dishwasher off or unplug it for 30-60 mins, when I turn it back on, it'll run just fine. It's like something gets stuck, and a good reboot fixes it. But it's not just a quick reboot, it's got to be a while as if there's a capacitor somewhere that takes a while to drain.

Since a power off fixes it, it doesn't sound like a button issue or an issue with the door closure switch. It sounds like a problem with some sort of control module.

So I'm hoping for some help with what the part is that needs to be replaced, how much it will be and where it is. I'm hoping it's in the door and I don't have to pull the unit out from under the counter.

Thanks in advance.
