Your Model Number is KUDI02CRBL2 an "i" not a one
Used to be an unwritten understanding the only ones were used in Model Numbers etc.. Then some idiot at Kitchen Aid decided "Lets confuse everybody" and also use i and L. Just venting, as stoopid decisions by companies really ticks me off. Here are your parts Heater parts replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL KUDI02CRBL2 | AppliancePartsPros.com Here is a tech sheet http://www.servicematters.com/docs/w...%208572216.pdf Have you changed your dishwasher detergent recently? Has something changed with the house plumbing re: a new water softener? Is it drying the dishes OK? If not you may have a heater problem. I am not sure if your unit uses a thermistor to monitor the water temperature. Check to be sure that the water entering the unit is at least 120 degrees. If you use detergent capsules I would try a granulated detergent. Do you use rinse aid, perhaps it is not dispensing. Here is a good link with some additional help http://www.applianceaid.com/dish.html If everything else with the machine is good you may want to try using less detergent.

We use a gel and or granular detergents and it has never given us a problem prior, there has been no other changes. It does seem to be drying the dishes, but how can i tell. I mean, I open it up and its steaming hot during the drying cycle. I wonder if there is cleaning agent, ie, vinegar or bleach that I can run through a cycle before I actually wipe off the residue left over from a cycle? Thanks for help so far and I'll read the tech sheet and see what I can come up with before replacing any parts. Thanks again.

I wonder if there is cleaning agent, ie, vinegar or bleach that I can run through a cycle before I actually wipe off the residue left over from a cycle? Vinegar will work if it is a calcium deposit, add a quart to a wash cycle. If the unit has a short wash (pre-wash) and then a long wash use the long wash. Let it pump/wash for a couple minutes then pause the cycle and let it soak for half an hour or so. Then let the cycle complete. You may have to do this a number of times to clean out the entire system..
