Dishwasher

Model Number: HDA3400G00WW Brand: Hotpoint Age: 1 - 5 years

When placing the selector on start no water enters the machine. There is water going to the water inlet valve but I have found that there is no voltage to the valve at that time. I get voltage when the selector is placed on the water saver and water enters the machine and then washes normally. Could the inlet valve be defective or possibly something on the start selector. Hotpoint Dishwasher Model number HDA3400G00WW
