![]() Model Number: wdf775saym Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
![]() 14 month old wdf775saym dishwasher suddenly died. Mid-cycle it stopped. Water still in the bottom of the washer. Control panel is unresponsive. I reset the circuit breaker (it wasn't blown) in hopes that it might "reboot" the dishwasher (yes... I am an IT guy...) no luck. The thing is lifeless. I did pull the front cover off and check the connections. I unplugged what appears to be the main board on the upper right of the front, that didn't seem to do anything when plugged back in. Not sure what else to check. I don't have any pin information to check for power. Curious if the power supply might have died. We live in a rural area and the power quality is not the best. With 4 small kids, the dishes pile up quick. Any help is greatly appreciated. Related Models |

![]() Here are your parts. You will have to choose a unit from the matching Model Numbers section asyour model number seems to be missing a couple digits.
See the attachment for the tech sheet. Could be that the power supply is blown. I would start by checking that the control board gets 120 volts. In the past I have seen problems with the wire nut connection of power to the unit so you may also want to check those.

![]() Awesome! Thanks.
Not good at reading schematics. Looks like power comes in on P4-1 and P4-2, so check Volts AC between those 2 correct? Where are the wire nuts in question located? Model number is wdf775saym1. Invoice didn't have the 1 on it, but the door seal does. Thanks very much for the assistance! J |

Yes Where are the wire nuts in question located? Usually in a small electrical box just behind the kick plate. They connect the house wiring to the machines wiring.

![]() Ended up being the main control board.
120V present at the proper pins, door switched seemed operational. Thought I would provide closure. For whatever reason appliancepartspros list the part number for the control board as not being compatible with my washer. Other sites did list it as compatible so I ended up purchasing it elsewhere to avoid a return hassle. Sorry APP.com ![]() |
