Impeller Kit - do I need centering tool

Model Number: 665.16761691 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years

The DW is a Whirlpool design. I suspect I need some new impellers because I am not getting enough water pressure to get everything clean. I ordered a repair kit that includes new impellers, chopper parts, and seals. The parts diagram shows a "Pump Centering Tool" (P/N 303918) - I haven't done this before, and I'm not sure if I need this tool to do the job.
