our dishwasher got louder overnight. It seems to fill & drain quietly but durning the wash cycle it is about twice as loud as normal. (no grinding but just louder.) I have looked over quite abit of info and from that, it seems like the most likley will be the chopper assembly or the motor impeller assembly. any suggestions as to what i should be looking for once i have these in my hand to help make the determinationas to which is the bad part? Thanks for any help you can provide on this.

You probably have a bad pump motor, drain pump ok. Just pull the dishwasher out and check pump motor.

i did check and replace the pump motor, the dishwasher is much quieter now!
