Fully loaded dishwasher near end of heated drying cycle emitted an acrid odor. Dishes were dry and countertop was warm to the touch. There was no plastic that got stuck to the heating element that would have emitted that odor. After disassembling the door to inspect the control module (thinking there would be an obvious blackened section - saw nothing obvious), I found that the plastic panel between the wiring and door somewhat melted to the point of sticking many of the wiring harness wires to that panel. The wires were easy to remove, nonetheless. The primary source of the odor seems to be emanating from the area of the vent (upper left corner of the door - thought it might be the dispenser but it is OK). While running a test wash, the water temp measured 120 degrees.
Please advise and many thanks,
Bruce
