Dear Appliance Pros-

I have an old White Westinghouse 18 inch dishwasher in my rental house. Despite a hard life and hard water, it has worked well for me up until recently.

Suddenly though, it has started to leak suds up from between the lower door baffle and inside of the tub. I have removed the lower kick panel and can watch this happen. I have thoroughly cleaned the seals and the baffle, but it continues to leak suds. It has no leak at all during the rinse cycle. Interestingly, there is a break in the seal at the bottom as part of the design, so I can only assume that this part of the door is not meant to be a waterproof seal as it sits down in the tub. So, it doesn't seem like dropping 120 bucks on a new seal or even 10 bucks on a new baffle would do much.

Any thoughts or advice is much appreciated.
