We have been having issues with this DW with the flood switch going off. The first time it happened, I don't recall if there was water in the upper drawer, but the flood switch was activated. We dried out the water in the lower portion of the DW and were back to normal. Several weeks later, same thing, again we dried out the DW and was back to normal. Then about 2 weeks ago the sensor went off again, this time I noticed that there was still water in the upper drawer so emptied out the water, dried out the lower section and realized that there is a lid section that comes down to seal the unit while washing. We thought that the DW was loaded incorrectly thereby not allowing the lid to close properly. This evening the sensor went off in the middle of the wash. There was 4-5" of water in the upper drawer, the soap dispenser was empty and the dishes were relatively clean an the unit had been loaded correctly. I emptied the DW of water, cleaned up the water and the unit is currently drying with a fan in the lower section.
I realize that we may need a new lid unit or perhaps a new set of actuators.....how can we tell which one? Or is there something else going on? Thanks for the input!
