My Maytag top load Quiet 300 isnt so quiet anymore . It sounds very noisey when spinning. I removed the tub and no foreign object were found. All cycles work. I dont want to wait for something to break. Sounds like a bad bearing.
Can the bearings be replaced with out replacing the tub, or am I confusing the front load tub where you need to replace the whole tube. I saw in the parts section you need two bearing kits and a spanner wrench. Is this correct.

Thanks Kenny
