Model Number: GU2300xtlq0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
In moving my Whirlpool dishwasher the motor capacitor was damaged. It was metal with a metal mounting stud, 27uf 250vac.
I bought a 25-30ufd cap in black plastic case and no mounting stud. Its gets really warm and starts to smell. So I stopped dishwsher. Do these capacitors normally get hot? Do I need the original, which had the metal and metal mounting stud to motor, did this dissipate heat? Or is something else wrong. The local capacitor cost $10. The manufacturer replacemtn is over $50. I don't want to spend that on capacitor if its another problem. I didn't think capacitors ever got hot. any help appreciated. tnx Related Models |
