Hi There, I have a Magic Chef Dishwasher on which the control dial is not working properly. It is extremely hard to get the machine to fill immediately. It takes multiple attempts to get the dial set "Just right" in order to start the wash cycle correctly. The question is what parts will I need in order to replace the balky control? I can fix it, I just don't want to order parts I don't need. IF I get the control knob set just right, the washer runs just fine.
TIA
Fred

On this model, according to the wiring diagram, when you first start it the motor is going to run for about 1.5 minutes before it goes into the fill cycle. If it's not doing that then possibly a bad timer. I've also attached a link to the service manual for your unit. On page 4-24 you'll see the wiring diagram and the timer chart showing what I'm referring too.

Here's the timer part number.

Part number: AP4112921

Frank, thank you. It is obvious from the manual that perhaps my girlfriend did not understand the sequence of events. Hence, I was trying to fix a problem that didn't exist (hopefully) Testing now.
Fred;)
