My current problem is I've burned out, in one wash, 2 soap dispensers. Naturally there is history to this occurrence. The first problem was the button panel got stuck in a set mode and would not change. We had a repairmen come out who said it was the button panel, ordered one up and rescheduled the next appointment. When the part arrived I installed it myself to save money. It did not fix the problem.
Next step I took on my own which was to order up a new board, the next logical step to me as that is what controls the button panel. That cam in, I installed it and bingo the panel was working again. I then ran the dishwasher and there was a faint plastic burning smell. I knew this wasn't good but thought maybe some things had shifted when I had the front panel off. It was the soap dispenser burning out. It opened for one wash and that was it. Because I noticed it was a little darker and some plastic had melted to it, it seemed that was the issue.
I ordered a new dispenser, the whole assembly. That arrived, I installed it and the exact same thing happened. It opened once and burned it out. Is there a problem with the board I received? The wire running between them? Did a I get a bad dispenser? I don't know what steps to take next, my wife just wants to get a new dishwasher.
Any advice would be great!
Thank you
