My restrainer nut snapped off and I can't get the part that screws out. I don't want to wreck the threads. Any suggestions?

You could try grabbing the outside edge with a pair of pliers.

If you have something like a dremel you could cut a slot in the top of it and then use a flat screwdriver to unscrew it.
The slot could be half an inch long without screwing up threads etc.

Thank you!! That worked great! Now I just have to make sure I'm ordering the right parts. I need the restrainer nut and a ring that I have to find yet.
