Model Number: CDU610N Brand: Crosley Age: 5 - 10 years
My heating element has a strange rough, almost sticky feeling surface...but it heats up fine. Should I replace it yet? I imagine the detergent caused the change over time. But there seemed to be discoloration on the element too that made me touch it, thinking something melted on it. Also, the surface problem goes all the way around except for a few inches on each end where it plugs into the unit. Those few inches are still dark and smooth. Should I do anything about it?
