GE Dishwasher cycle changed from 28 to 67 minutes
Model Number: PDW7880 Brand:
5 - 10 years
My GE D/W used to operate with a "Speed" cycle time of 28 minutes. Then it jumped to 67 minutes. I replaced the turbidity sensor, and then the controller as well. It still wants 67 minutes. I ran the Factory Test Mode to recalibrate the turbidity sensor. It passed the turbidity test (it didn't lock up with a constant beep), and went through the rest of the Factory Test Mode, as described in the service manual. But it still wants 67 minutes. The water temperature is hot, and does not need to be "warmed up" by letting the sink tap flow. The water is not hard in this part of California. I'd really like to just be able to reset the microcomputer to the minimum run time on Speed Cycle. Then I'd like to just disable the turbidity sensor altogether.... but I'm getting ahead of myself. Any tips, before I junk this heap and buy a different D/W brand?
Many thanks in advance!
