The machine wasn't filling. One parts dealer said that on this model, 99% of the time it was the float switch. I replaced the float switch; the old one had high contact resistance.

Now water comes in but very slowly. I pulled the water intake valve, connected it to 120 vac (through a ground-fault interupter), heard the solenoid click, and tried to blow through it - a lot of resistance. So I ordered a replacement, which arrived today. I decided to give it the same test before putting it in. It also has a very high resistance when I apply power and try to blow through it. Is this normal? Did I get a defective replacement?
