Door counter balance broke allowing the door to drop hard against it's stops.:eek: Got the parts to repair the counter balance, installed and all is well except now when trying to use the regular wash cycle, the cancel light blinks indicating a fault. Tried running on heavy duty with the same results. The only cycle it will run on is the light china cycle. It will run all the way through without fail although does not clean the dishes properly unless washed by hand.

What could the problem be and how would I go about checking what the fault is?

In researching the faults could be a bad heating element (which was changed within the last 6 months) or the drain pump which works just fine on the light cycle so I assume that is not the problem.

Any ideas would be appreciated.:)
